Outreach
As followers of Jesus we want to show what a living treasure he is, especially by reflecting his heart for outsiders and the poor. The Outreach Team’s vision is to partner with God as we build relationships, discern needs and offer help so that outsiders in our community might become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
We aim to equip and mobilize our church family by modeling the vision, motivating others through communication and story telling, and organizing events giving opportunities to connect with people in the community.
Partnership with Nursery Road Elementary School
For the last five years, Fellowship Bible Church has come alongside our local Nursery Road Elementary School to provide whatever help we can. When students are “caught” showing kindness and helpfulness, the administration recognizes them in a monthly “Heart Act to Follow” assembly and reception. We show up with the refreshments for teachers and students and cheer the students on, looking especially to encourage those whose parents could not attend. We also help with landscape projects and offer other practical support.
Volunteers are needed for the NurseryRoad Elementary School Good News Club!
Good News Club is a weekly one hour bible club sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship. It is our hope that children will hear and respond to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, become His disciples through the Word of God and plug into a local church. We are seeking volunteers for a Monday afternoon club. Needed: Grade level helpers, prayer team partners or snackproviders. Contact Connie Johnson, scjohnson@bellsouth.net for info.
